Some family fun this summer with Love Oxted
This summer take part in our Tallest Sunflower competition and see if you can win some fabulous prizes.
Collect your sunflower seeds from the Love Oxted stand on Saturday 28th May or from one of our participating businesses and see if you can grow the Tallest sunflower in Oxted.

There are two age categories – Under 16 and 16 and over so the entire family
can enter and four prizes available:
Under 16
Winner: £25 voucher for a business in central Oxted.
Runner up: £15 voucher for a business in central Oxted.
16 or over
Winner: £50 voucher for a business in central Oxted.
Runner up: £25 voucher for a business in central Oxted.
You have until Sunday 5th September to grow your sunflower and enter the competition. Good luck and happy growing!
How to measure your sunflower
Measure your sunflower while it is still in the ground. Measure from the ground (not including the roots) to the top of the sunflower head.
If the head is drooping over you can straighten the head to measure the full height of the plant.
Take a photo of you and your entire sunflower which includes a tape measure so we can see how tall you have grown your sunflower.
Competition rules
Entries must be submitted by email to tracey@loveoxted.co.uk with a photo of you and your sunflower, the height of your sunflower, your name and contact number and which category you are entering (Under 16 or 16 and over).
One entry per sunflower per person (parents can submit entries for more than one child as long as each child is shown in the photo with a different sunflower).
Entries must be received by 5pm on Sunday 5th September 2021.
Winners will be chosen after the competition closes. The tallest sunflowers will be chosen based on the photos submitted. The judge’s decision is final. All photographs must include either a tape measure.
Prizes are non transferable and there is no cash alternative.
Photos will be published on our Sunflower gallery unless you ask us not to display them.
If you are not the sunflower grower and the photo you submit is not your photo, we reserve the right to disqualify you – only your own picture of your own flower please!
