Oxted is open for business

Oxted’s business use technology to encourage people to support them during the coronavirus outbreak

Oxted businesses have been quick to respond to the threat of Covid-19 by implementing additional cleaning and contactless payments, reassuring their customers that they are committed to ensuring the safety of customers, their staff and the wider community.

Businesses have also used the Oxted app to let people know where they can buy online, who offers click and collect or items can be ordered for delivery over the phone.

Businesses also have access to a range of images they have been using on social media to make customers aware that the town, and they, are open for business.

The Oxted app, developed by LoyalFree and provided by the Oxted Business Improvement District, Love Oxted, provides local businesses with access to an innovative way to encourage people to shop local whilst also staying safe at the same time.

Tracey Shrimpton, Love Oxted BID Manager, comments “This is another really tough time for high street businesses and it has been vital to find new ways for us to support the businesses in our town. Local businesses have adapted quickly and having the LoyalFree app means we can act straight away to help support the economy.”

Sophie Hainsworth, Co-Founder of LoyalFree, comments “At LoyalFree we want to focus on keeping people safe by finding new ways our technology platform can continue to support the high street at the same time. We are also pooling the skills of our team to offer free services to our clients and looking for new ways to use technology for good.”
