We’re channeling sunny vibes for spring this month!

March is a lovely month in Oxted when the bulbs and daffodils come up at Master Park and the town starts to cheer up after a dreary winter! There’s plenty going on in town this month and in April, and we’re bringing the floral spring vibes to the town…

OXTED GOES FLORAL FOR SPRING!

We commissioned the fabulously floral Dora Kovacs, aka @dorideco, who dresses Kinjo, Cucina and Elements, to bring some spring blossom to the station tunnel entrance. We hope you like it! You can get all your own floral displays, plants and flowers from Piper’s Florist on Station Road West… and it you need a full garden spring makeover, remember Scott Taylor Garden Design is also on Station Road West next to Idol Hands. They have a fab living wall for inspiration.

OXTED SPRING CLEAN – To get Oxted into the spring mood, we’ve painted and repaired the pedestrian railings on both sides of town and are engaging local contractors to work alongside council services to look at tidying the flower beds and general cleaning of the winter grime after a long winter of rain and dirt.

LITTER ANGELS – do you fancy being an Oxted Litter Angel?
We’d love to get a group together – Tandridge District Council supplies pickers, hi-vis jackets and bags to any community groups who wish to help keep the area tidy.
Love Oxted has a supply ready to give out. This is a voluntary exercise for the community. Only pick in safe places and you do so at your own risk.

First Litter Angels Day is Saturday 22 March 10AM. Email marketing@loveoxted.co.uk if you’re interested.

SPRING FOR YOUR GARDENS & BUSINESSES – The Woodhouse Centre and Men in Sheds have been making lots of lovely new bird boxes and bug hotels for your gardens. They’re open Monday to Thursday mornings and Friday morning for the Country Market (10am-12pm) and have an open morning coming up on 3rd April.
Bird Boxes, bee and bug hotels are brilliant for both homes and businesses and help create important wildlife corridors throughout the town.

SING IT OUT OXTED! After 4 years in Godstone, Sing It Out Stress-relieving singing has expanded to The Park Hub’s super sparkly new venue at Master Park in Oxted – every Tuesday at 12PM.
The women’s-only group has an incredible community feel and the hour-long sessions bring a great deal of laughter, forging many great friendships within the singers. As well as the weekly groups, there are chances to perform (optional!) along with social events. Please contact toria@singitout.co.uk or go to www.singitout.co.uk for more information.

The PARK HUB at Master Park is almost ready to open with finishing touches being made.
There’s already some yoga and mindfulness classes, and monthly Life & Soul events from Wild & The Moon, with lots more planned when it officially launches very soon.
