Tandridge District Council advise businesses eligible for business rates relief to cancel their direct debits or standing orders for business rates

Advice relating to the situation with Coronavirus and the government announcement that businesses in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors in England will not have to pay business rates for the 2020-21 tax year.For Businesses who pay Business Rates. Tandridge District Council. have advised that, providing your Business Rates are not in arrears, you should cancel any standing order or direct debt for business rates until further notice if you believe you are eligible for the new expanded retail rates relief (a businesses in the retail, hospitality and leisure sector).

If your April payment has already been paid, Tandridge District Council will refund any overpaid monies if you are eligible as soon as is practicably possible.
