Our Love Oxted Late Night Christmas Shopping event is coming up on Thursday 24th November 4.30-9pm and we’ve got lots in store for residents and visitors, with many free activities as a thank you from the business community for your ongoing support and we hope to see you there.
The centre of town will be pedestrianised with road closures and parking suspensions on Station Road East and Station Road West, so that families can enjoy the space and our town in safety.
Road closures
Station Road East will be closed from the junction with Gresham Road to the junction with Amy Road from 4pm to 11pm (latest). The station forecourt area on Station Road East will be closed from Thursday 24th at 12pm and the taxi rank will be moved to outside Lorimer’s.
Access will still be possible to Ellice Road Car Park and Amy Road via Beatrice Road. Buses will be diverted along Bluehouse Lane and Gresham Road. Station Road West will be closed from the junction with Hoskins Way to outside the Station from 12pm to latest) and there will be a parking suspension in force on both Station Road East and West on 24th November.
If your property is within the road closure area and you need to use your car on the evening of November 24th, we would request that you park in the Station car park under Morrisons (free from 10am) or in Ellice Road Carpark (free 2-hour parking – the barriers go up at 5pm anyway). We aim to get the Station Road East back open by around 10pm latest and Station Road West by 11pm.
You should be able to get in and out of the residents/business carparks behind Station Road East via Ellice / Beatrice Road, Gresham Road and Johnsdale without the need to go onto Station Road East.
If this is not possible, we would be grateful if you could contact marketing@loveoxted.co.uk.
