Who Are We?
The Oxted Business Improvement District (BID) commenced on January 1, 2016. The BID (also known as Love Oxted) incorporates all units in the town centre who have a rateable value and are in the defined area.
The BID is funded by businesses in the BID area who pay the equivalent of 2% of their Business Rates in the form of a levy. The levy pays for the projects which were defined in the Business Plan and will be delivered over a five year period. Every year, Love Oxted organises a number of events.
Businesses have also used the Oxted app to let people know where they can buy online, who offers click and collect or items can be ordered for delivery over the phone. Businesses also have access to a range of images they have been using on social media to make customers aware that the town, and they, are open for business.
