M25 lane closures and waterworks on Godstone Road
Lane closures between junctions 5 and 6 of the M25 this weekend
Lane 4 of the M25 will be closed in both directions between junction 5 (Sevenoaks) and junction 6 (Godstone) from 5pm until 9pm on Saturday 23 May and Sunday 24 May. This is to carry out essential safety work on the central reservation barrier and the removal of the narrow lanes that are currently in place.
Make sure you leave extra time for your journey in case of delays if you are travelling between these times.

SES Waterworks on A22 (Godstone Road, Purley), starting 26 May
SES Water will begin essential works on the A22 (Godstone Road, Purley) for approximately eight weeks from Tuesday 26 May. There will be a 24-hour road closure between the entrance of the Tesco store at Purley Road and Dale Road for the duration of the works. Access for residents living within the closed section will be maintained.
The work is part of an ongoing investment by SES Water to improve the connectivity of the pipe network, to secure reliable drinking water for over 27,000 homes and businesses.
The official diversion route for cars travels through Old Coulsdon and emerges at Wapses Lodge roundabout in Whyteleafe, via Burntwood Lane. A separate diversion route suitable for larger vehicles ends in Godstone.
