With the summer (hopefully!) on its way, and the very beautiful Master Park at our disposal, there’s no shortage of fun to be had over the next few months, with some great outdoor events for all the family.
Here’s what’s coming up…
Picnic in the Park – This SUNDAY, 5th June
Organised by the Oxted Parish Council, Picnic in the Park for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee will be a whole load of family fun with will Beer and Pimms tents, food stands, a coconut shy, Classic Car display and much more.
Pop down with family and friends, bring a picnic and enjoy the afternoon.

Oxted Pram Race – 26th June
The Pram Race is a stalwart in the Oxted calendar and has been run since 1977. The ultimate objective of the Pram Race is to raise money for local causes, but having fun in the process by forming a team, dressing up in a ridiculous outfit and pushing a pram from Master Park to The Bell in Old Oxted High Street. Simple.
Just enter by paying an entry fee and asking family and friends to sponsor you.
Fancy Dress is non-negotiable and if over 18, you do have to stop at each of the seven licensed premises on the way, down a drink as fast as you can and carry on!

Oxted Festival – 1st-3rd July
Growing in popularity year on year, this event is always great fun and celebrates local beers and ciders, local foodie businesses, local singers, bands, musicians and DJs – as well as some very well-known chart-toppers, all with the aim of raising money for local charities.
This year the headliners are Scouting For Girls, B*witched and Toploader, with easily the BEST rock band in the country, Oxted’s own, Randy & the Rockets.

Yoga in the Park – Saturday July 9th
Join in this free event hosted by NK Dance & Fitness that aims to promote holistic and energising fitness, wellbeing and self care, with -registration at 9.30, starts 10am – noon (if it rains on Saturday please come along Sunday July 10th)
The event it is focused on promoting healthy lifestyle and bringing the community together.
Small samples of exercise classes for every level of ability and different styles will be available, as well as lots of information.
After 12.00pm there will be a BYO picnic.
