Playhouse Oxted

Re-opened in January 2025 (formerly Playtown) and under new ownership, Playhouse Oxted offers imaginative play and soft play, plus a creative “messy room” for crafts, as well as coffee, tea, soft drinks and treats for parents and children from the newly refreshed cafe.

The business owners are mother and daughter, Sammie Sammons and Lacie Newman, who are both experienced in early childhood care. Sammie has worked at East Surrey hospital for 12 years, with the last 10 of those years as a maternity support worker, and Lacie has worked in the babies and toddlers room at Busy Bees in Cheam for 4 years.

At our imaginative and soft play café, we strive to provide a unique experience for the creative mind.

In addition to our engaging play areas, we are proud to offer a variety of services that cater to the diverse needs of families.

As a family-run business, we understand the importance of supporting new mums on their journey. That’s why we host midwifery Q & A sessions, providing a safe space for mothers to ask questions and seek advice from experienced professionals.

We believe that early sensory development is crucial for infants, which is why we have carefully selected sensory sessions specifically designed for children under 2. These sessions are an excellent opportunity for little ones to explore their senses and stimulate their young minds in a nurturing environment.
