Guess who’s coming along to our Love Oxted Chris

Guess who’s coming along to our Love Oxted Christmas event, to lead our procession and switch on the lights?
Not one Stilgoe, but two!
Sir Richard and Joe Stilgoe and friends from the Orpheus Centre will lead our procession with Santa, Mrs Claus, Elves and Nutcracker… starting from Station Road West at 5pm, walking through to Station Road East to turn on the main Oxted lights.
Come and join us. It will be fun!

Love Oxted’s Family Christmas Event - Saturday 2

Love Oxted’s Family Christmas Event - Saturday 23rd November 2-6pm
This year, following your feedback, Oxted is doing things a bit differently and instead of late-night shopping, we’re hosting a family entertainment afternoon, culminating in the candlelight procession and lights switch-on with Santa, Mrs Claus, street entertainers and some specials guests. We will start outside Santa’s Grotto next to NFU/Morr & Co on Station Road West at 5pm and moving through to Station Road East for 5.15pm.

Whilst the day and time is different, there will still be the same fab shopping plus street food from the Oxted restaurants and cafes; entertainment, including the magical Living Snow Globe and Ice men jugglers, Gliding fairies, free face painting with Honeybee, Dockyard Dogs singing festive Shanty tunes, Mariam Mickels outside @oxtedopticians, and the fabulous Oxted Band will be playing festive tunes. On Station Road West there will also be the (free) Snow Globe Photo Dome, market stalls PLUS Santa’s Grotto @ Morr & Co.

Please note: Station Road East and Station Road West will be CLOSED TO TRAFFIC from 12pm - 8pm. There will be parking restrictions in place beforehand to clear the road by 12pm. There is FREE PARKING ALL WEEKEND at Ellice Road Car Park and Gresham Road Car Park (by Tandridge District Council).

Following on from the Christmas event, there will be live music on Saturday afternoons until Christmas, including
🎶Sing it Out Choir on 7th December at 1pm
🎄Oxted Musical Theatre Co/ Victorian Carollers on 14th November
👑Disney Princesses (@characterpartieswithbee ) will host crafts and singalong on 21st December 1-2.30pm, outside Boots.

We’re looking forward to our Christmas Family event on Saturday, November 23rd 2-6pm.
We’re going to be joined again by Mark Carter (Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey) and the team at BBC Radio Surrey to lead the proceedings, as well as Santa, who’ll be in his grotto at Morr & Co on Station Road West, until the candlelight procession and lights switch-on at 5pm...

Before we get into the Christmas fun, please remem

Before we get into the Christmas fun, please remember those who have fought, served and died for our country. Remembrance Sunday is this Sunday, 10th November. There will be a march-off at 09.30 from the RBL club by Master Park to St Mary's, with a service at 09.50, followed by wreath laying at the Master Park Memorial at 10.45 in time for a service there, leading up to a 2-minute silence at 11.00.
On completion there will be a short ceremony at the War Memorial on Old Oxted High Street.
The Oxted Royal British Legion fundraisers are outside Morrisons until the weekend, and they have an amazing display this year. Please give generously.
