Hurray it’s May! 🌸 Lots going on in Oxted th

Hurray it’s May! 🌸
Lots going on in Oxted this month, including Surrey Day - Saturday 11th May.
We’ll be waving to the sky, getting a visit from the High Sherriff of Surrey, putting up the bunting, listening to some live music and show tunes, meeting Superheroes and dancing the Superman dance, plus other street entertainment, so please come into town, eat, drink and shop local and support your local businesses.

11.00 - 11.15 - WAVE TO THE SKY - Local drone pilot and photographer, Matt Cuzen will be passing over Oxted with a drone to capture the town on Surrey Day!! Get out on the pavement and give him a wave (weather permitting!)
Live music:
11.15-12.00 The Oxted Band outside IG Equine, 12.30-13.15 - Moonshine & Molly outside the cinema; 13.15 - 14.00 The Oxted Musical Theatre Company outside Caffe Nero TBC
11.00 - 14.00 - FREE face painting from Oxted's Honey Bee Face Painting at Dessert Spot
Kids stuff:
14.00 - 15.00 - Super Hero Surrey Day with Character Parties with Bee meet and greet with superheroes and craft (outside BOOTS)
15.00 - Superman Dance lesson with Kerry Payne (Outside Paydens/Lorimers)

We will also be publishing some amazing aerial photos and video footage on our website and socials from Britain from Above and contemporary local photographers and drone pilots, including Nada Khalaf-Jones, Matt Cuzen, Darren Giles and Hudds Photos.

Have you been into Lorimers yet?
The new shop, next to Paydens Chemist opened in record time, a week or so before they thought they’d manage to get it all done!
Oddly, it looks twice the size it did when it was Paydens Book Shop. Light and bright and with all the stationery, cards, balloons, art supplies AND toys to boot, having incorporated Toy Box in the move it’s got everything you need and if you’re over a certain age, it’s a weird trip back in time to Brockes days, except there’s no running up the creaky stairs to the toy shop!!
Well done to Tracy and the team. We wish them happiness in their new home! ✏️ 🖊️ 🎨 🧸

If you ever wondered who’s in the know about commercial property and the comings and goings of shops and businesses in Oxted, G&P Property (formerly Gildersleve & Payne) would be it!

The agency is the go-to commercial agency in the town and surrounding area, whether you’re an owner of a commercial property, or a business owner looking for new premises.

Originally launched as Robert Leech Commercial in 1992 by Peter Gildersleve, a Chartered Surveyor with a long history of successful acquisitions for retailers and hospitality chains, the business was run by Peter until 2002 when he was joined by Nick Payne, also an Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and no relation to the Payne of Payne & Co! After four years of the pair working together, the business re-branded as Gildersleve & Payne in 2006.
