Need to occupy the kids this half term? We have just the thing. We are running a digital Halloween Story Trail called “Totally Spooking Out” around Oxted, in conjunction with www.highstreetsafari.com.
Perfect for half term entertainment, the Augmented Reality trail takes you on a little journey around Oxted’s Station Road East and Station Road West.
The trail take about 45 minutes, as you and the kids hunt around and choose what happens in the story as you go. You will be guided on your trip by The Luminauts, a team of superheroes, on an adventure, as you find the spooky characters and see them in AR.
Follow the trail from the digital map and hunt down Halloween masks along the route. When you find each one of the witches, mummies and ghouls, try them on digitally and take selfies with them and see them burst to life in augmented reality.
It’s completely free for families and groups to take part and you win a free, digital fun pack at the end.
All you need is a smart phone. Do it all in one go or eek it out over a few days!

Taking part in the storytrail is simple!
- On your phone, go to the website to see the trail map – www.highstreetsafari.com/spookingout or just scan the first location’s QR code
- Select the location – Oxted
- Visit each of the mask locations on the digital map – in the correct order
- At each location, scan the unique QR code with your smartphone, try on the mask in AR and choose what happens in the story.
- Finally, you’ll get to see the full characters in AR and take hilarious selfies with them. When you’ve found them all, download your free digital fun pack.
