From Monday 1st May, the Oxted Adventure Team, in collaboration with St Mary’s Church, The Woodhouse Centre and The British Legion will be running a week of events to inspire you to take part in volunteer-based community activity in accordance with the King’s with for communities to take part in The Big Help Out.
This will be a free, fun, all-age series of events from Monday 1st May through to Monday 8th May as part of the Coronation celebrations and a way to highlight local voluntary organisations and offer ways to get involved.
Each event takes place at 6-7pm and there will be free refreshments each evening and something to do, hear and see at each event.
What’s On Each Day
- Monday 1st May – Oxted Royal British Legion – always great fun and lots of activities planned at this location.
- Tuesday 2nd May – St Mary’s Church – History talk, “Coronation” – whether you’re into the monarchy or not!
- Wednesday 3rd May – The Woodhouse Centre with Oxted’s very own rock group, ROXTED !!
- Thursday 4th May – The Youth Group, @the_space, Oxted Community Hall (Church lane)
- Friday 5th May – 1st Oxted Scouts at the Scout Hut, Chalkpit Lane
- Saturday 6th May – Screening of The Coronation at St Mary’s Church. 10am to 2pm.
- Sunday 7th May – Come and Sing! Join the Scratch Choir in St Mary’s Churchyard
- Monday 8th May – Open Day, Volunteering Fayre and evening BBQ at St Mary’s Church. From 10am to 7pm.
