Easter is late this year and comes at the end of the Easter holidays, but never fear, Oxted is packed with fantastic family-friendly activities throughout April to keep everyone entertained!

We start off the month in a musical with Rodgers & Hammerstein with The Oxted Musical Theatre Co (2nd-5th April at The Barn Theatre) and visit the Spring Open Day at The Woodhouse Centre (3rd April, 9.30AM-12.30PM) when you can find out about all the crafts and activities available. Tandridge Leisure Centre will be running plenty of activities and swimming courses, including Artistic Swimming (aka Synchro)!
The library is hosting plenty of free and low-cost activities, including a Mini Easter Library Trail (5th-19th April), Easter-themed Storytime (8th April), Easter Crafternoon (10th April), and a Lego Easter Challenge (16th April, booking essential). Meanwhile, The Woodhouse Centre has creative workshops like Felt Rabbit Making (5th April) and Kids Art Workshops (15th-17th April).

On 12th April, the town centre comes alive with the Easter Bunny Family Fun Day, featuring face painting, and special appearances from the Easter Bunny and the Mad Hatter. Families can also take part in the Easter Trail from 12th to 19th April, with trail sheets available online or from the library, plus an activity book to download from the Love Oxted website.
Other highlights over the Easter holidays include Benson’s Family Fun Fair (11th-20th April at Master Park), Easter bonnet making (17th April at Desserts & Crafts), the Easter Craft Morning (18th April at Oxted Community Hall), and the Fairytale Sing-Along with Everlasting Events (19th April at The Barn Theatre).
Finish the celebrations with your little ones on Easter Sunday with an Easter Egg Hunt with Peter Rabbit (20th April) at Playhouse Oxted.
Looking ahead, Surrey Day on 10th May is set to be a fantastic WW2-themed event, coinciding with VE Day 80. Expect an afternoon of family fun with live music from The Oxted Band, Rock Choir, and Sing It Out Choir, plus performances from Miss Molly Moonshine, street entertainers, and a display of classic cars. Be sure to pop the date in your diary!
