If you have or know of any children of 5 to 19+ with learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities, then why not give them the opportunity to get creative this Easter in fun and inclusive Carnival themed drama workshops on 9,10 and 11 April with Oxted-based Head2Head Sensory Theatre.
Join the welcoming and inclusive space in Oxted’s Drewshearne Barn, Head2Head’s new accessible community hub.
The workshops are suitable for children ages 5 to 19+ with learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities.
Have fun, make new friends and learn new skills in drama in a friendly and accessible space.
The workshops will include:
- Creating your own Carnival Mask
- Exploring and wear a range of Carnival Costumes
- Learning about the characters and traditions in Carnival and Mardi Gras
- Experiencing some physical theatre techniques
- Using a range of simple instruments to create a sensory sound experience
- Building some movement sequences into a carnival procession to perform at the end of the workshop

Based in Oxted, Surrey, this volunteer led disabilities charity works closely with a wide range of disabilities: wheelchair users, learning difficulties, neurodevelopmental disorders, autism, complex health needs, visual/hearing impairments. All activities are custom-made to help audiences to benefit from participation in an inclusive and accessible event, gain confidence and widen social opportunities.
