It’s that time of year again – the time for St Mary’s “Oxted Adventure”, a free journey of festive fun and creativity around the streets of Oxted.
Every night throughout December, a different location or small space around Oxted will open up between 6pm and 7pm and you are all invited to join them for a free festive experience. In some, there will be music; in others art or craft activities. Enjoy a glass of mulled wine or hot chocolate whilst joining in with the festive creativity.
Inspired by Brighton’s Beach Hut Advent Calendar, this popular initiative brought to you by St Mary’s Church, once again invites you to share these fun and festive pop-up events! This year’s theme is all about ‘Hope’.
The Oxted Adventure brings a creative and inspired way for everyone to journey through the season of Advent. Like many of those central to the nativity, we find ourselves searching for meaning, and yearning for hope.
Its overall aim is that every day will draw us all closer to both of those things and the celebrations during Advent will help everyone look forward to the wonderful themes of Christmas, with the hope that as we journey, we may find something new – new friends, new inspiration, new community, new hope.
So what are you waiting for? Get ready for your 2022 Oxted adventure. Remember to bring your own mugs with you to help reduce the use of plastic. See you there!
