The churches will remain open all of next week for people to sign the condolence book, pray or just sit for quiet reflection.

Please note that there are church events on Saturday afternoon and after the service on Sunday, so you are encouraged to sign the book either today, Friday 9 September or next week.

Marking the silence

There will be a minute’s silence on the eve of the Funeral, Sunday 18th September at 8pm.

A national two-minute silence will be observed at 11am on the day of the funeral.

Flags

Official flags will be flying according to the Royal Protocol: half mast until the day after the funeral except for Proclamation Day when the flag will be raised to full mast at 1100hrs to coincide with the Reading of the Principal Proclamation. It will continue to fly at full mast until 1300hrs the following day and will then return to half mast until after the funeral.

We will be removing all Jubilee pennants and post decoration as soon as possible. We would also ask any businesses flying the flags from the Jubilee to please remove them if it is possible and safe to do so.

Please keep an eye on Tandridge District Council Website for more information.
